Florida Seafood Pasta in a White Wine Sauce Recipe

- 1/4 cup Extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes (for a little kick!)
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Juice of half a lemon
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- First, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook your pasta until it is al dente. Don't overcook it! We want it to have a nice bite. Save a little bit of that pasta water before you drain it.
- While the water is boiling, pat your shrimp and scallops dry with a paper towel. Season them lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and scallops. Cook them for about 2 minutes on each side until they are just opaque. Take them out and set them aside so they don't get tough.
- In the same pan, add your minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Stir for about 30 seconds until you smell that amazing fragrance. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer until the liquid reduces by half.
- Add the cooked pasta and the seafood back into the skillet. Toss everything together. If it looks a little dry, add a splash of that pasta water you saved.
- Squeeze the lemon juice over the top and garnish with plenty of fresh parsley. Serve it hot and watch it disappear!

- 1/4 tsp Dried oregano
- 1/4 cup Fresh Italian parsley, chopped
- A pinch of red pepper flakes
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, but so good)
Instructions
- Start by boiling your spaghetti in a big pot of salted water. Follow the package directions to get it perfectly al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, grab a large pan and heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add your sliced garlic. Watch it carefully—you want it to turn a light golden color, but don't let it burn or it will taste bitter!
- Carefully pour in the juice from the canned clams and the white wine. Add the oregano and red pepper flakes. Let this simmer and bubble for about 5 to 7 minutes so the flavors can get to know each other.
- Add the chopped clams and the fresh parsley to the pan. Cook for just another 2 minutes. You don't want the clams to become like rubber!
- Drain your spaghetti and toss it directly into the pan with the clam sauce. Mix it well so every strand of pasta is coated in that delicious, garlicky oil.
